History
Chylynda attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford and received a B.A. in 1993 and a Master of Social Sciences in 1995. She moved to Texarkana and started working for New Horizons in April of 1996. She began with New Horizons as a Home & Community Services case manager. She was promoted to Program Director in October of 1996.
She provides case management services for our residents. She is responsible for administrative duties which include creating, implementing, and revising company policies. She also implements state and federal policies and procedures. She provides job coaching, counseling, assessments and other supports needed to promote independence. She works closely with the Individual Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to write, revise, and implement programming and behavior management programs for the residence. She maintains resident charts and files in accordance to state and federal regulations. She is responsible for the supervision of 25-30 staff. She also provides on-going inservice training for company employees.
